Fire Drills

Fire drills are conducted routinely on campus. When conducted in your building, you are required to evacuate. Evacuation route maps are posted throughout campus, providing primary and alternate routes. View a map and follow the primary route for the drill but become aware of the alternate route.

When exiting the building, continue to the designated waiting area and stay there until dismissed. Remain quiet to avoid disturbing neighbors.
Do not re-enter the building until the drill is over.
Be accessible to your RA, RM, faculty member, or work supervisor who may need to take attendance.
Rehearse mentally what you might need to do differently if this had been a real fire. How would you have responded to smoke or a hot door?
